Opportunity Overview
Sanlam is offering a unique opportunity for young, enthusiastic, and energetic individuals from designated groups to gain practical working experience within a corporate environment. This learnership programme is specifically designed for matriculants.
This 12-month learnership, based in Pretoria, includes a monthly stipend and comprehensive on-the-job training and assessment. Participants will receive continuous coaching and mentoring, acquiring valuable knowledge of company products, services, and operational processes. The programme involves practical onsite training, completion of logbooks for workplace-based learning, and carrying out tasks as contracted with your manager.
Minimum Requirements
- A Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
- Ability to maintain work standards and quality verification.
- Skill in data collection and analysis.
- Competence in processing transactions and conducting simple calculations.
- Proficiency in record keeping, filing, and database maintenance.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability to plan and align tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills.
- Action-orientated approach.
- Capability to optimise work processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess claims on the administration system and identify claim types.
- Verify the validity of claims by ensuring all supporting documentation (e.g., signed claim form, ID of deceased, proof of bank details, death certificate) has been submitted.
- Process valid claims on the administration system for payment.
- Notify clients of any outstanding documentation required for their claim.
- Reject or repudiate invalid claims.
- Ensure all claims processes comply with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain an error rating of less than 1%.
- Ensure accurate capturing of claims.
- Verify all criteria are met for claim payment.
- Provide quality written and verbal feedback to clients.
- Inform clients in real-time about the status of their claim processing.
- Provide timely feedback on requirements for successful claim payments.
- Perform ad-hoc duties including, but not limited to, client queries and certain reporting requirements.
