Opportunity Overview
South African National Parks (SANParks) is offering an employment opportunity for an Environmental Monitor specializing in administrative duties. This position is part of the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) and will be based at the DFFE office in Cape Town. The role is a contract position extending up to 31 March 2027. This opportunity specifically targets candidates residing within the City of Cape Town Municipality.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification.
- One year of experience in data capturing or administration.
- Computer literacy and practical experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and databases.
- A clear criminal record.
- Proof of residence within the City of Cape Town Municipality.
- Tertiary qualifications in Public Administration, Management, or Office Management and Technology will be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and verify documentation for accuracy and completeness before data capturing.
- Administer and verify documentation related to the Supply Chain Management process.
- Reconcile contract and training documentation.
- Assist with capturing finance documents as required.
- Manage databases and ensure data accuracy before validation by the Deputy Director.
- Process monthly journals.
- Track documents uploaded by SANParks on Microsoft Teams.
- Liaise between DFFE admin and EPWP Admin regarding outstanding documents such as IDs, DCTs, and PPRs.
- Audit information received from various projects.
- Handle general office administration and management tasks.
- Update financial handheld systems for projects for easy reference.
- Provide assistance with general data capturing related to the project.
- Update and maintain the project filing system for assessments, verifications, and audits.
- Update and track close-out reports.
- Process service provider invoices for payment.
- Update and maintain project data.
- Provide administrative support in the OCD office.
