Opportunity Overview

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this learnership, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be unemployed and eligible for a W&RSETA learnership.
• Hold a minimum qualification of Grade 12.
• Possess basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Be a South African citizen.
• Have a clear criminal record.
• Be willing to work retail hours, which may include weekends and public holidays.
• Must not have previously completed an unemployed learnership.

Key Responsibilities

Learners will be expected to:

• Attend all theoretical training sessions as facilitated by the training provider.
• Complete assessments, assignments, and develop a Portfolio of Evidence (PoE) in line with W&RSETA requirements.
• Perform workplace duties related to retail operations, including assisting customers and delivering basic customer service.
• Manage stock by merchandising and replenishing items.
• Support point-of-sale (POS) operations where applicable.
• Maintain store cleanliness and overall housekeeping standards.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, standard operating practices, and health and safety requirements in the workplace.
• Maintain accurate logbook entries to track workplace experience.
• Demonstrate professional behaviour, punctuality, and consistent attendance.
• Engage with supervisors, mentors, and facilitators to support their learning and development progress.
