2. Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this impactful role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A three (3) year relevant tertiary qualification in Labour Relations, BCOM Law, or LLB.
• Experience: At least one (1) year of experience in Inspection and Enforcement Services.
• Licence: A valid driver’s licence is essential.

3. Key Responsibilities

As an Inspector, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Planning and independently conducting inspections to ensure compliance with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA).
• Executing independent investigations into reported cases concerning contravention of labour legislation, enforcing compliance as necessary.
• Planning and conducting proactive (Blitz) inspections regularly to monitor adherence to labour legislation across various workplaces.
• Independently conducting advocacy campaigns to raise awareness and educate the public on all relevant Labour legislation.
• Drafting and maintaining detailed inspection plans and reports, including the analysis and compilation of consolidated statistical reports for allocated cases.
