This is a permanent employment opportunity for a Senior Officer in Acquisition Management, focusing on Tenders, within the Finance Division. The successful candidate will be based in Centurion, Gauteng.
Reporting to the Lead: Acquisition Management, the incumbent will be responsible for managing the entire tendering process to ensure that all goods and services are procured in line with RAF policies and procedures. This role comes with an annual salary of R579,259.00.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Diploma in Supply Chain Management or a Commerce-related qualification.
- Possess at least 4 years of relevant experience specifically within a procurement or tender environment.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Officer: Acquisition Management - Tenders will undertake a range of duties, including:
- Managing the end-to-end tendering process to ensure the procurement of quality goods and services.
- Reviewing procurement processes, supplier vetting, and engaging in supplier negotiations.
- Engaging with business units to understand requirements and plan work to support sourcing.
- Negotiating prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers.
- Providing guidance on Supply Chain Management (SCM) processes and reviewing them for efficiency.
- Ensuring full compliance with defined policies, procedures, regulations, and standards.
- Maintaining confidentiality throughout the bidding process by utilizing prescribed documents.
- Preparing accurate and complete Request for Proposal (RFP) documents.
- Participating in Bid Specification Committees (BSCs) and Bid Evaluation Committees (BECs) to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Preparing and reporting on process performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs), procurement lead times, and deviations.
- Managing and maintaining accurate, complete records for all RFPs for audit purposes.
- Dealing with and resolving process and customer queries in an expedient and competent manner.
