Opportunity Overview

The City of Ekurhuleni invites applications for a permanent Specialist in Contract Management within its Finance Department. This role is crucial for ensuring the municipality's contract practices and processes adhere to regulatory standards and internal policies.

This position involves the comprehensive administration, review, and compliance oversight of supply chain and procurement-related contracts, supporting the effective functioning of the City of Ekurhuleni's financial operations.

Minimum Requirements

• Degree in Law or a relevant equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
• 5 - 8 years' experience in a supply chain management environment
• Interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure practices and processes comply with regulatory rules and company policies.
• Manage contracts entered into by the Municipality.
• Review and administer various supply chain and procurement contracts.
• Provide input to assist with strategic leadership and planning in compliance with the Municipal Systems Act and other legislation.
• Implement and maintain operational processes within governance and compliance frameworks.
• Provide input to ensure effective implementation of governance and risk management practices.
• Participate in implementing financial processes within Supply Chain Management to ensure MFMA compliance.
• Maintain customer service orientation to foster exceptional service delivery.
