Minimum Requirements

• 5 - 8 years' experience in a support management environment.

Key Responsibilities

Opportunity Overview

The City of Ekurhuleni is seeking a Regional Manager for a permanent position within the Office of the Speaker. This role is based in the City of Ekurhuleni.

This position involves implementing operational strategies, supervising staff, and providing essential administrative and logistical support to Ward Committees and Ward Councillors. The Regional Manager will contribute to the effective functioning of wards within the region.

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant B Degree in Public Administration / Local Government or a relevant equivalent NQF Level 6 qualification.
• 8 years' managerial experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct, control, and supervise personnel to ensure compliance with Council policies and procedures for the division to perform its expected functions.
• Ensure administrative and logistical support to Ward Committees, enabling them to be well-resourced and capable of carrying out their duties.
• Provide administrative and logistical support to Ward Councillors to enable optimal performance of their functions.
• Provide summarised formatted information to the Council on Ward Committee activities to keep Council informed and for monitoring and evaluation.
• Implement financial control measures and coordinate capital budgetary processes.
