Minimum Requirements

• National Diploma in Communications, Marketing or Business Management or relevant equivalent NQF Level 6 qualification.
• 1 – 3 years' experience in social media communication environment.
• A valid driver's license.
• Excellent knowledge of the English language.
• Journalism experience will be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement the City of Ekurhuleni's social media strategy by generating and maintaining the presence of the City's brand on social media sites and developing brand awareness.
• Serve as an on-camera representative of the City by creating and presenting digital content for social media platforms.
• Plan, manage, and implement competitions and interactivity via social media.
• Utilise in-depth knowledge of the social media landscape and emerging platforms.
• Collaborate on social media strategy to increase audience whilst maintaining quality.
• Ensure that work adheres to policies and strategies of the Department in relation to social media.
• Adhere to specified standards, policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to prevent and reduce wastage on financial resources and escalate associated risk.
• Contribute to a culture that builds rewarding relationships and enables exceptional customer service and ethical conduct.

Key Responsibilities
