Opportunity Overview

The VKB Group is inviting students to apply for their bursary programme for the 2027 academic year. This opportunity is designed to support individuals pursuing higher education in key fields relevant to the group's operations.

Bursary recipients will receive financial assistance for their studies. As part of the programme, students will be required to complete vacation work at one of VKB's regional head offices during university holidays. After graduation, recipients must be willing to relocate for potential employment or to fulfil work-back obligations.

The bursary covers studies towards the following qualifications:

• Agricultural Economics with Risk Management (BCom)
• Agricultural Economics (BSc)
• Chartered Accountancy (BCom)
• Economic Sciences, specialising in International Trade Marketing (BCom)
• Mechanical Engineering (BSc Eng / BEng)
• Quantity Surveying (BSc)

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the bursary:

• Must be a South African citizen.
• Must currently be in Matric or have completed Matric.
• Must be studying towards or intend to study one of the listed degree qualifications in 2027.
• If currently in Matric, must have achieved a minimum average of 70% for the latest Matric exams.
• If Matric has been completed, must have achieved a minimum average of 70% for the Matric NSC final exams.
• If currently studying at tertiary level, must have achieved a minimum average of 60% for major subjects.
• Must be studying or intend to study at a recognised and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa.
• Must be willing to complete vacation work at one of the VKB regional head offices during university holidays.
• Must be fluent in English and Afrikaans (spoken and written).

Key Responsibilities

Bursary recipients will be expected to:

• Complete vacation work at one of the VKB regional head offices during university holidays.
• Be willing to relocate for potential employment or work-back obligations after graduation.
