Vega Vision is looking for exceptional and high-achieving Software Engineering graduates to join its Software Development Internship Programme. This opportunity is specifically designed for graduates who have consistently demonstrated outstanding academic performance and achieved an A+ or distinction-level aggregate in their Software Engineering degree.

Successful interns will work alongside Vega Vision’s software engineering, product, and innovation teams. The programme provides practical experience in the design, development, testing, and deployment of enterprise software products, preparing graduates for a career in technology.

Minimum Requirements

Hold a recognised degree or Diploma in Software Engineering.
Achieved an A+ or distinction-level academic aggregate in your Software Engineering degree or diploma.
Ability to provide a complete academic transcript.
Demonstrate strong programming and problem-solving abilities.
Possess a sound understanding of software development principles.
Passion for technology, innovation, and African digital transformation.
Willingness to learn and work within a fast-paced product development environment.
Strong communication, analytical, and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of any of the following will be an advantage:
JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, C#, or PHP.
React, Angular, Vue.js, Node.js, or similar frameworks.
SQL and relational databases.
Cloud platforms and DevOps tools.
Git and software version control.
Artificial intelligence, machine learning, or data analytics.
Open-source software development.

Key Responsibilities

Interns will gain practical experience and exposure to various aspects of software development, including:

Design, development, testing, and deployment of enterprise software products.
Full-stack software development.
Web and mobile application development.
Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and system integration.
Database design and development.
Cloud-based software platforms.
Artificial intelligence and automation.
Software testing and quality assurance.
Cybersecurity and secure software development.
Agile software development methodologies.
Product development and commercialisation.
Working on real customer projects within enterprise software environments.
