Opportunity Overview

South African National Parks (SANPARKS) is offering a challenging position for a Practitioner in Supply Chain Management. This role is based in the Kruger National Park and reports directly to the Manager: Supply Chain Management.

This opportunity involves contributing to the efficient operation of SANPARKS by supporting various aspects of their supply chain processes. The successful candidate will play a part in ensuring compliance with public sector regulations and maintaining effective communication within the supply chain.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • National Diploma in Supply Chain, Purchasing, or Logistics Management
  • 1-3 years of experience in supply chain management within a public sector organisation
  • Basic understanding of supply chain management processes
  • Ability to analyse data and generate reports
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Basic problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Understanding and adherence to ethical standards and public sector policies in all supply chain management activities
  • Willingness to engage in continuous learning and professional development
  • Entry-level certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), Certified Professional in Supply Chain Management (CPSM), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), or Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) can be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the implementation of supply chain management processes.
  • Maintaining accurate records, performing data entry, and analysing supply chain data to support decision-making.
  • Communicating with suppliers to obtain quotes, track purchase orders, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Ensuring compliance with public sector regulations and policies, and maintaining proper documentation for all supply chain management activities.
  • Generating and distributing reports on supply chain management activities.
  • Providing administrative support to the supply chain management team, including scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and coordinating with other departments.

Opportunity Overview

South African National Parks (SANPARKS) has an Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) employment opportunity for 3X Semi-Skilled Environmental Monitors. This is a fixed-term contract up to 31 March 2027, located at Mapungubwe National Park & World Heritage Site.

Participants appointed as Environmental Monitors will receive a wage rate of R208.00 per day, as per Expanded Public Works Programme rates.

Minimum Requirements

  • NQF Level 4 (Grade 12)
  • Code 08 driver’s license
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and after hours
