Opportunity Overview

The South African Council for Educators (SACE) invites applications for its 18-month Internship Programme for 2026. This programme is designed for committed graduates who have completed their studies at an institution of higher learning, as well as students who require practical experiential training to obtain their qualification.

SACE is looking for eligible individuals to gain valuable work experience and contribute to the education sector. Interns will receive a monthly stipend, with amounts varying based on the NQF level of their qualification: R5,000 for NQF Level 6, R6,500 for NQF Level 7, and R7,500 for NQF Level 8.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for the SACE Internship Programme, applicants must meet the following general criteria:

• Be an unemployed South African Citizen.
• Be 35 years of age or younger.
• Have never previously participated in an internship programme.
• Have completed a relevant qualification at an institution of higher learning OR require experiential training to complete their qualification.
