Opportunity Overview

The Services Sector Education and Training Authority (Services SETA) is seeking an Administrator for Discretionary Grant Learning Programmes. This position is offered on a fixed-term contract and is based in JHB North.

This role plays a vital part in the administration of learning programmes by focusing on the meticulous verification and management of documentation. The Administrator will ensure compliance and accuracy for both lead employers and learners, contributing to the efficient operation of the Discretionary Grant framework.

Minimum Requirements

  • National Senior Certificate or equivalent (minimum NQF Level 4)
  • Relevant NQF Level 6 qualification in Business Management, Public Administration, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in an administrative role
  • Experience within the SETA environment (advantageous)

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify 100% of Lead Employer documentation against defined criteria and checklists within prescribed turnaround times.
  • Capture and verify 100% of Lead Employer profiles and data, ensuring alignment with submitted documentation.
  • Issue and follow up on remediation notices for non-compliant, incomplete, or missing documentation.
  • Re-verify remediated documentation and escalate compliant submissions for validation.
  • Upload and securely retain all compliant Lead Employer documentation in the LMIS.
  • Verify 100% of learner documentation against defined criteria and checklists within prescribed turnaround times.
  • Capture and verify 100% of learner profiles and data, ensuring alignment with submitted documentation.
  • Issue and follow up on remediation notices for non-compliant, incomplete, or missing learner documentation.
  • Re-verify remediated learner documentation and escalate compliant submissions for validation.
  • Upload and securely retain all compliant learner documentation in the LMIS.
  • Facilitate Discretionary Grant change requests by guiding stakeholders, validating documentation, and coordinating internal review and approval.
  • Assess requests for extensions of time to submit compliant Lead Employer and Learner documentation against defined criteria.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Unit, including collating and filing documents, and populating reports on time and accurately.
