Opportunity Overview

Rohlig Grindrod invites unemployed South African youth to apply for their YES Programme. This initiative offers valuable workplace exposure, helping participants to develop essential skills that will enhance their future employability. The programme is set to commence in 2027.

Successful candidates will be placed at one of Rohlig Grindrod's offices located across the country. Placement opportunities are available in Sandton (Gauteng), Durban (KwaZulu-Natal), Gqeberha/Port Elizabeth (Eastern Cape), and Cape Town (Western Cape).

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for the YES Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Have a completed Grade 12/Matric certificate with at least 50% in both English and Mathematics.
  • Be a South African Citizen.
  • Be 35 years old or younger.
  • Be currently unemployed.
  • Have not previously completed a YES Programme.

Applicants should also possess the following skills and competencies:

  • Customer service orientation, with an ability to manage demanding customer interactions.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, contributing effectively within a team.
  • Adaptability to work in a dynamic and changing environment.
