The Coega and East London industrial development zones add engineering, logistics and energy projects with training intakes of their own. Bhisho and the provincial departments carry a large public-service layer of internships, EPWP placements and general worker posts, which matters in a province where formal private employment is thin outside the metros, and rural-development programmes serve the former Transkei and Ciskei regions. The practical play: if you are near Gqeberha, Kariega or East London, chase the automotive and IDZ programmes — they pay well and their qualifications travel anywhere.
