Makhudutamaga Local Municipality is seeking six motivated individuals for Finance Intern positions. This is a valuable 3-year contract opportunity designed to provide hands-on experience within a municipal finance environment.

Based at the Main Office in Jane Furse, successful candidates will contribute to various financial functions, gaining practical skills essential for a career in local government finance. The annual basic salary for these positions is R169,617.72.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a Grade 12 certificate.
• Hold a B.Comm in Accounting, Finance, or Internal Audit, OR a National Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Internal Audit, OR an equivalent qualification.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with budgeting processes and financial statement preparation.
• Supporting supply chain management activities.
• Contributing to internal control functions.
• Aiding in asset management, revenue management, and expenditure management.
• Supporting financial reporting efforts.
• Assisting with client and debtor services.
• Performing other duties as required from time to time.
