Opportunity Overview

Eskom is actively participating in the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative, a national public-private collaboration led by the Presidency. This programme is designed to tackle youth unemployment across South Africa.

Through this initiative, Eskom is dedicated to creating valuable work opportunities for young, unemployed South Africans. This programme offers a chance to gain vital first-hand work experience within the dynamic energy industry.

Successful applicants will be offered a 12-month contract, providing practical experience in various Eskom Operations located across all South African Provinces.

Minimum Requirements

Must be a South African Citizen.
Aged between 18 and 34 years old.
Possess a Grade 12 certificate (or equivalent) AND a Post-matric qualification (certificate, diploma, or degree).
Must not be studying full-time during the year of employment.
Must not have previously participated in or been registered on the YES initiative.
