Eskom, through its Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme, is offering work opportunities for unemployed youth across South Africa. This initiative is part of a broader public-private effort led by the Presidency to address youth unemployment in the country.

The programme aims to provide young South Africans with a valuable first work experience in the energy industry. Successful candidates will receive a 12-month contract to work in various Eskom Operations located across all South African provinces, specifically including Medupi Power Station for certain administrative roles.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for the YES Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Be a South African Citizen.
Be between 18 and 34 years of age.
Hold a Grade 12 certificate or an equivalent qualification.
Not have been employed permanently with a single employer continuously for more than one year.
Not be studying full-time in the year of employment.
Not have previously participated in or registered on the YES initiative.

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be placed in Eskom Operations and will primarily function in various administrative roles, contributing to the daily activities of their assigned division.
