Opportunity Overview

Eskom invites applications for its Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme in Gauteng. This initiative is designed to provide unemployed South African youth with a vital first work experience within the energy industry.

Successful candidates will be offered a 12-month contract, working across various Eskom operations. The YES Programme is part of a broader public-private initiative led by the Presidency, aimed at tackling youth unemployment in South Africa.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Be a South African Citizen.
Be between 18 and 34 years old.
Possess a Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
Not have been employed permanently with a single employer for more than 1 year continuously.
Not be studying full-time in the year of employment.
Not have previously participated in or registered on the YES initiative.
