Minimum Requirements

  • Undergraduate qualification (NQF level 6) as recognised by SAQA in Economics, Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Public Management, Public Administration, or Financial Management.
  • Valid Driver’s Licence.
  • One (1) year functional experience in Fleet or Transport Management Services.
  • Knowledge of procurement, servicing, operation, maintenance, and repair of government vehicles.
  • Familiarity with applicable laws, codes, regulations, policies, and procedures related to fleet operations.
  • Proficiency in diagnostic procedures for vehicles and understanding of gasoline and diesel-powered engines.
  • Strong communication (oral and written), coordination, planning, and organisation skills.
  • Ability to write reports and operate computer systems and assigned software.
  • Skills in monitoring, evaluation, and time management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections on provincial fleet vehicles.
  • Enforce compliance with regulations and policies for provincial fleet operations.
  • Oversee and perform maintenance activities for fleet vehicles within the Province.
  • Execute general administrative tasks related to fleet operations.
