Clicks Group is inviting applications for Shop Assistant / Cashier positions. This role is fundamental to providing excellent customer service, accurately processing transactions at the point of sale, and maintaining an organised and well-stocked store.

Successful candidates will play a key part in ensuring shelves are visually appealing and fully stocked. Through friendly assistance and efficient operational support, the Shop Assistant / Cashier helps create a positive and satisfying shopping experience for every customer.

Minimum Requirements

Must have a Grade 12 certificate.
Advantageous to have achieved 50% or more in Maths and English at Grade 12 level.
Experience in a customer-facing role within a retail or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) store environment is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

Execute all operational activities at the point of sale efficiently and in a timely manner.
Maintain high accuracy when scanning merchandise and collecting payments, including processing ClubCard rewards.
Ensure the safe handling of cash at all times.
Proactively promote the Clicks ClubCard and enrol new members to meet participation targets.
Inform customers about current promotions to boost sales and enhance their shopping experience.
Deliver superior customer service as a brand ambassador, being visible, friendly, and professional.
Execute and maintain merchandising and general housekeeping duties according to store standards.
Stay updated on products, ranges, promotions, and events to provide accurate information to customers.
