Minimum Requirements
- An appropriate 3-year National Diploma or B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification).
- A minimum of 3 years of middle management experience.
- Competencies:
- Working knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies, and best practices.
- Familiarity with information systems for knowledge and information management.
- Experience in project management, operational management practices, and procurement processes.
- Understanding of policy development, monitoring, and review processes.
- Knowledge of modern systems of governance, public service procedures, and regional political, economic, and social affairs within the Western Cape.
- Familiarity with constitutional, legal, and institutional arrangements governing the South African public sector.
- Understanding of Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), National and Provincial Treasury Regulations, and other financial prescripts.
- Knowledge of Labour Relations legislation and performance management principles.
- Skills:
- Numeracy and computer literacy.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and facilitate the initiation, implementation, and monitoring of safety programmes, services, and partnership initiatives in line with the Western Cape Strategic Framework (safety plans).
- Manage stakeholder relationships to ensure the support and effective functioning of safety partnerships.
- Plan and manage the work of and account for activities within the scope of the role.
