Opportunity Overview
uShaka Marine World is seeking an experienced IT Manager to join their team. This pivotal role is responsible for the complete functioning, service delivery, and strategic evolution of the organisation's Information and Communication Technology (ICT) environment.
The successful candidate will play a critical part in ensuring that technology systems consistently support the business's overall goals and operational needs at this well-known entertainment destination.
Minimum Requirements
- Qualifications:
- Matric/Grade 12
- A B Degree in ICT or an equivalent NQF Level 7 Degree, complemented by relevant technical skills gained through related experience.
- Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
- 5 to 6 years of overall experience within an ICT environment.
- At least 3 years of this experience must have been at a management level.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience managing point-of-sale (POS) systems is required.
- Preferred Requirement:
- An NQF level 8 ICT qualification is preferred.
- Employment Equity:
- Preference will be given to employees from designated groups in line with the provisions of the Employment Equity Act, No. 55 of 1998, uShaka Marine World's internal recruitment policy, and its employment equity plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the overall functioning of the ICT environment.
- Ensure effective service delivery within the ICT environment.
- Oversee the evolution of the ICT environment to align with and support business goals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the smooth operation of IT services, implementing improvements, and ensuring that the technology infrastructure effectively supports the business's overall goals.
You will be tasked with strategic oversight and management of technology resources, including point-of-sale systems, crucial for the organisation's daily operations and visitor experience.
