Opportunity Overview

Premier is offering a 12-month Human Resources Graduate Internship based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. This programme provides graduates with practical experience within Premier's Human Resources department.

Interns will work across the KZN region, reporting to the Regional HRM, and may also support the National Human Resources structure on specific projects. The opportunity includes exposure to various business units, which may require travel to other sites.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 certificate
• Degree in Human Resources Management
• Driver’s license (advantageous)
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
• Adaptive and open to respond to change
• Able to cope with pressures and setbacks
• Results orientation
• Analytical thinking skills
• Strong time management and deadline orientation
• Team player with open communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to critically evaluate information, especially when working with numbers
• Learning aptitude

Key Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to HR Operations administration and systems (e.g., Payspace, HR, Graylink).
• Understand and apply HR Operations principles, covering recruitment, onboarding, employee movement, terminations, and disabilities.
• Learn about Learning and Development administration and systems (e.g., Moodle, Payspace HR).
• Develop process understanding for the following Human Resources disciplines:
• Learning and Development
• Talent / Skills Development
• Organisational Development
• Industrial Relations
