Opportunity Overview

Eskom is offering opportunities for young South Africans to join its Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme. This initiative is part of a broader public-private effort, led by the Presidency, aimed at addressing the challenge of youth unemployment in the country. Eskom is committed to creating work opportunities for unemployed youth in line with the BBBEE definition.

This programme provides a valuable chance to gain crucial first work experience within the energy industry. Successful candidates will be offered a 12-month contract and placed in various administrative roles within Eskom Operations across all South African provinces.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for the YES Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be a South African Citizen.
• Be aged between 18 and 34 years.
• Have completed Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification.
• Should not have been permanently employed with a single employer continuously for more than 1 year.
• Should not be studying full-time in the year of employment.
• Should not have participated in or registered on the YES initiative before.

Key Responsibilities

Participants in the YES Programme will:
