Opportunity Overview

DHL Group is offering a Learnership Programme for the 2026/2027 intake, based in Johannesburg. This one-year programme is specifically designed for unemployed youth looking to gain valuable skills and experience.

Successful candidates will be enrolled in a Clearing and Forwarding Agent NQF Level 5 learnership. This comprehensive programme provides participants with essential theoretical knowledge in Freight Forwarding, coupled with practical exposure in a professional work environment, aiming to enhance future employability in the sector.

Minimum Requirements

• Must have a Grade 12 certificate, or a relevant Transport & Logistics/Business qualification.
• Achieved a Matric English pass rate of 65% or higher.
• Must be a South African citizen.
• Must be between 18 and 30 years old.
• Must not be currently employed or studying.
• Computer knowledge (MS Office) will be considered an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of import/export processes and activities to optimize service and performance.
• Perform assigned tasks related to documentation, including receiving, reconciling, consolidating, and summarizing documents and information.
• Support and maintain operational systems as per instructions.
• Execute back-office duties such as scanning, filing, and reporting.
• Follow defined processes, systems, and methods for the delivery of assigned tasks.
• Support and interact primarily with colleagues of the own team.
• Communicate information that requires little explanation or interpretation.
• Address task-related issues appropriately to maintain work relationships.
