The North West University (NWU) is seeking a Senior Lecturer for a permanent position at its Mahikeng Campus. This role is based within the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences, specifically in the School of Physical and Chemical Sciences.

Minimum Requirements

To be eligible for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• A PhD (NQF level 10) in Physical or Analytical Chemistry.
• A minimum of two (2) years of lecturing experience.
• Post-graduate supervision and training experience.

Recommendations / Added Advantages:

• Membership with the South African Chemical Institute.
• At least one (1) publication in a peer-reviewed journal.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Lecturer will be responsible for a range of duties, including:

• Teaching undergraduate and honours Chemistry modules.
• Leading research initiatives and supervising students at Master's and Doctoral levels.
• Contributing to community engagement projects.
• Providing support for departmental administrative functions.
• Ensuring adherence to all Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) protocols.
• Performing other duties as assigned by the line manager.
