Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• A Postgraduate qualification (NQF Level 8) in Human Resources Management or Industrial-Organizational Psychology.
• A minimum of six years of experience in Organisational Development.
• At least three years of the required experience must be in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
• Exposure to the higher education sector will be an advantage.
• Exposure to all facets of the Human Resources field will be an advantage.
• A Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management / Industrial Psychology is recommended.

Key Responsibilities

The Organizational Development Specialist will be responsible for a range of critical functions, including:

• Leading organizational development initiatives.
• Conducting job evaluations to ensure fairness and consistency.
• Managing and optimising performance management systems.
• Driving change management processes within the university.
• Overseeing training and development programmes.
• Managing the budget and financial aspects related to learnerships, internships, and study grants.
• Exercising strategic influence on human resources policies and practices.
• Implementing monitoring and evaluation frameworks for HR initiatives.
