Opportunity Overview
Fidelity Services Group is seeking dedicated individuals to join their team as Dispatch Clerks based in Midrand. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of all orders, from packing to timely dispatch.
As a Dispatch Clerk, you will play a key part in maintaining effective communication with various internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that all goods reach their intended destinations accurately and on schedule. The position also involves critical administrative tasks such as daily dispatch reconciliations and maintaining registers, contributing to the overall operational efficiency of the dispatch department.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this vacancy, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Matric / Grade 12 certificate
- Proficiency in Data Capturing
- Competence in Excel / Microsoft Office
Advantageous for this Role
The following skills and experience will be considered beneficial:
- Experience with SAP
- Prior experience in a warehouse environment
- A Post-Grad qualification
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties, including:
- Ensuring orders are packed for dispatch using the appointed courier service.
- Checking all stock for quality and correct quantity before packing.
- Capturing accurate order details to ensure correct delivery addresses.
- Entering waybill information on the Courier Service Provider portal and verifying parcel details.
- Confirming all required parcels are handed over to the courier service provider.
- Following up on dispatched orders and completing relevant trackers.
- Communicating daily with courier service providers and customers regarding estimated times of arrival (ETA).
- Adhering to all policies and procedures for dispatch activities.
- Ensuring compliance with dispatch and company Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Maintaining cleanliness in all dispatch areas.
- Tracking outbound shipments and communicating any delays to relevant stakeholders.
- Receiving and validating warehouse tracking registers against system transactions.
- Overseeing daily stock movements to minimise discrepancies, reduce shrinkage, and maintain accurate records for audits.
