Opportunity Overview

The Department of Employment and Labour is seeking a dedicated Senior Practitioner for Human Resource Development and Performance Management. This is a three-year contract position based in the Provincial Office in Kimberley, Northern Cape.

This role is crucial for coordinating and implementing key HR initiatives across the province, including human resource development, performance management systems, and vital learnership and internship programmes. Minimum Requirements

  • Qualification: An undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6) in Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, Training and Development, Management of Training, Public Management, or Industrial and Organisational Psychology, as recognised by SAQA.
  • Experience: A minimum of two (2) years functional experience in Human Resource Development, Training and Development, or Performance Management Services.
  • Added Advantage: A valid driver’s license.

  • Manage human, financial, equipment, and asset resources within the division.

What the Work Involves

As a Senior Practitioner, you will play a central role in ensuring that the Northern Cape Provincial Office effectively manages its human resources. Your day-to-day work will involve coordinating various HR development programmes and overseeing the performance management processes that help employees grow and achieve departmental goals.

You will be instrumental in bringing learnerships and internships to life, providing opportunities for new talent, and ensuring all new staff are properly oriented. This is an office-based position within the Provincial Office in Kimberley, where you will manage resources and collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental objectives.
