Hollard, a leading insurance organisation, presents an exciting graduate opportunity within its Group Internal Audit Division. This Data Analytics Audit Graduate Programme for 2026/2027 is designed for recent graduates with a strong passion for data, analytics, and problem-solving.
As a Data Analytics Auditor Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in utilising data to identify risks, enhance controls, and drive smarter business decisions across various functions of the organisation. This programme offers a practical start to your career, allowing you to contribute meaningfully while developing specialised skills.
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant Bcom or BSc degree.
- Data or IT Audit related certifications would be an advantage.
- Understanding of risk-based auditing methodologies.
- Knowledge of relational databases and database structures.
- Experience with database and analytical scripting.
- Basic business and financial understanding.
- Basic insurance knowledge.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including business acumen.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Basic stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to use ACL, SQL Server Management Studio, Power BI, and other data analytics tools.
- Basic SQL scripting skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend audit team kick-off and close-out meetings.
- Assist in drafting business understanding documents and related flow charts for allocated scope areas.
- Assist in preparing data analytics audit programs that align with the Risk and Control Matrix (RCM) of the audit.
- Validate data for completeness, validity, and accuracy.
- Conduct data analytics fieldwork in accordance with approved Internal Audit methodology, using relevant tools including ACL and SQL.
- Document working papers associated with completed data analytics procedures.
- Take responsibility to address and clear review notes.
- Develop data analytics scripts for continuous monitoring purposes.
- Identify process, data, and control gaps and seek additional information if necessary.
- Draft preliminary exception reports and findings for manager review.
- Manage time in accordance with allocated audit budget and timeframe.
- Identify, monitor, and communicate overruns and inefficiencies.
- Develop and utilise a sound understanding of business processes, risks, and controls, including relevant regulatory and accounting issues.
- Manage client interaction for allocated areas of scope.
- Build mutually beneficial relationships with stakeholders.
