Opportunity Overview
The Department of Employment and Labour is seeking a Chief Executive Officer for the Supported Employment Enterprise located in Silverton. This senior leadership role involves spearheading the strategic direction and operational management of the Enterprise.
This full-time position offers an all-inclusive salary package of R1,554,696 per annum, recognising the extensive experience and qualifications required to lead this vital entity effectively. The CEO will be central to implementing business plans, ensuring sound governance, and driving growth within the manufacturing and operations environment.
Minimum Requirements
- A qualification at NQF Level 7 recognised by SAQA in Business Administration, Public Management, Business Management, Commerce, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Management, Operations Management, or Public Management.
- A valid driver’s licence.
- Five years of experience at a Senior Managerial level within a manufacturing or operations environment.
- Knowledge of: Manufacturing and production, Planning, evaluating and governance, Treasury Regulations, Sound Support Employment Enterprise concepts, Employment and labour market challenges in South Africa, National Development goals, Public Service Act, Finance, Human resource, Operations and marketing, Research and development.
- Demonstrated skills in: Leadership, Planning and organising, Communication, Diversity management, Computer literacy, Analytical thinking, Presentation, Interpersonal relations, Report writing, and Networking.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and direct the implementation of the Enterprise’s strategic plan, business plan, and objectives.
- Ensure sound corporate governance, risk management, and compliance across the Enterprise.
- Lead and direct all operations of the Supported Employment Enterprise.
- Drive business development initiatives, market positioning, and overall Enterprise growth.
- Lead and direct performance monitoring, evaluation processes, and Enterprise reporting.
- Provide strategic leadership, support, and advice to the Supported Employment Enterprise regarding financial management functions and ICT practices.
- Lead the management of human resource operations within the Enterprise.
- Oversee the management of Human Resource Development, Performance Management, and Employee Health and Wellness functions in the Enterprise.
