Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this Team Leader position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A three-year National Diploma (NQF6) or an Undergraduate Bachelor Degree (NQF7) in Labour Relations, Labour Law, LLB, or BCom Law.
• Experience: At least two years of functional experience in Inspection and Enforcement Services.

Key Responsibilities

The successful Team Leader will be responsible for:

• Planning and conducting substantive inspections to enforce compliance with labour legislations, including BCEA, LRA, EEA, UIA, COIDA, OHS, and UCA.
• Planning and executing independent investigations on reported cases of labour legislation contravention, enforcing compliance as necessary, and appearing in court as a State witness.
• Conducting proactive "Blitz" inspections regularly to monitor adherence to labour legislation.
• Organising and leading advocacy campaigns on labour legislations.
• Contributing to the planning, drafting, and maintenance of regional inspection plans and reports, including executing analysis and compiling consolidated statistical reports for regional and allocated cases.
• Supervising resources within the sub-section.
