Minimum Requirements

- Education: Possess a Senior Certificate (Grade 12) OR a three-year National Diploma or an equivalent qualification at NQF Level 4/6, as recognised by SAQA.
- Experience: No prior work experience is required, making this an excellent entry-point for recent graduates or school leavers.
- Computer Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS Excel, and Outlook.
- Competencies: Exhibit strong generic competencies such as quality of work, reliability, initiative, effective communication, interpersonal relations, teamwork, and planning and execution.
- Technical Skills: Possess foundational knowledge in Office Administration.
- Location: Ability to work effectively at the Pretoria centre.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Development Planning unit through various administrative tasks, including:
- Maintaining an efficient filing system and ensuring the smooth flow of documents within the Unit.
- Receiving and distributing incoming and outgoing documents.
- Accurately recording documents in the appropriate registers.
- Establishing and managing an effective document tracking system.
- Providing comprehensive secretarial support services to the team.
- Coordinating and preparing all necessary documentation for meetings and workshops.
- Compiling accurate minutes and reports from meetings.
- Administering the supervisor's diary, including arranging appointments and recording events.
- Promoting effective diary coordination, whether electronically or manually.
- Providing general administrative support services to the unit.
- Arranging logistics and related activities for travel, meetings, workshops, and conferences.
- Managing the purchase and ordering of stationery and equipment.
- Coordinating assets and inventory within the Unit.
- Performing general office tasks such as making copies, sending faxes, and emailing documents as required.
