Opportunity Overview

Clicks Group is offering opportunities for Shop Assistant / Cashiers. This role focuses on providing excellent customer service, accurately managing point-of-sale transactions, and assisting with merchandising to ensure products are well-stocked and visually appealing. Successful candidates will contribute to a positive and satisfying shopping experience for customers.

Minimum Requirements

• A Grade 12 certificate is essential.
• Achieving 50% or more in both Maths and English at Grade 12 level is desirable.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role within a retail or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) store operations environment is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently execute all operational activities at the point of sale in a timely manner.
• Maintain high levels of accuracy when scanning merchandise and collecting payment for goods, including actioning ClubCard rewards.
• Ensure the safe handling of cash at all times.
• Proactively promote the Clicks ClubCard and enroll new members to achieve participation targets.
• Inform customers about promotions to positively affect sales.
• Deliver superior customer service by acting as a brand ambassador, being visible, and offering a friendly, professional service.
• Efficiently execute and maintain all merchandising and general housekeeping duties according to store standards.
• Support the Group’s vision to be the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer by living company values.
• Maintain updated knowledge on products, ranges, promotions, and events to provide accurate information to customers.
