Minimum Requirements
- Matric/Grade 12 with a Bachelor’s degree in Built Environment (e.g., Town Planning/Town and Regional Planning, Spatial Planning/architecture, civil/structural engineering/quantity surveying) at NQF level 7.
- 7-9 years’ experience in the outdoor advertising environment.
- At least five (5) years’ experience at management level.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in various Building Development Management (BDM) structures for the development of business plans, strategies, policies, procedures, work processes, and systems for the department.
- Supervise and empower staff within the department.
- Oversee the assessment (pre-assessments and full assessments) of all outdoor advertising applications for recommendation on final decisions.
- Recommend work improvement processes to the Director: Building Development Management as needed.
- Handle correspondence, queries, and enquiries escalated by Operations Management/Technical Evaluators.
- Ensure compliance.

As the Assistant Director: Outdoor Advertising (BDM), you will lead efforts to manage and control outdoor advertising within Johannesburg, operating from 100 Carr Street, Newtown Junction, Nedbank Building.
