Opportunity Overview

The City of Ekurhuleni invites applications for a permanent position as an Senior Stores Operator within its Finance Department. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient flow of financial processes related to supply chain operations.

This position involves key responsibilities in managing payment preparations and operational processes, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and financial regulations, and maintaining high standards of governance and customer service within the department.

Minimum Requirements

• Advanced National Certificate in Finance or a relevant equivalent NQF Level 5 qualification.
• 5 years' experience in a supply chain environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare all aspects relating to payment vouchers to enable the central creditors office to pay creditors.
• Perform operational processes to ensure all payments are done effectively and timeously in accordance with the Council Procurement Policy.
• Apply governance and risk management to reduce the risk of losses.
• Apply financial processes to comply with the MFMA.
• Maintain customer service orientation to ensure a performance-driven section and contribute to overall Departmental objectives.
