Opportunity Overview

The City of Ekurhuleni is seeking a Senior Executive Manager for Support Services. This is a permanent position within the Community Safety Department, offering a competitive annual basic salary ranging from R1,358,280 to R1,713,265, plus benefits.

This role provides an opportunity to contribute significant strategic capability and leadership to the City of Ekurhuleni, overseeing the effective and efficient provision of support services across the department. The successful candidate will play a critical role in implementing departmental strategies and ensuring good governance.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (NQF7) in Public Administration, Business Administration, Management, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
• NQF Level 5 Finance Management Qualification (MFMA) in terms of National Treasury Requirements will be an advantage.
• 7-10 years of relevant experience in Public Sector Administration, Support Services, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic capability and leadership.
• Implement department strategy and goals through the development, alignment, and implementation of departmental practices and standards.
• Guide and lead the division's staff members in ensuring effective and efficient support services across the department.
• Implement good governance and apply risk knowledge and skills within the parameters of prescribed regulatory and best practice frameworks for good corporate governance.
• Implement operational financial management strategy to ensure compliance with financial controls as contemplated in the MFMA.
• Ensure customer service orientation by meeting the expectations and requirements of customers.
• Optimize human capital through integrating and optimizing functional activities, processes, or systems across the internal value chain.
