Opportunity Overview

The Western Cape Department of Social Development is seeking a dedicated Office Manager to join the Office of the Chief Director: Service Delivery Management and Coordination. This role provides essential executive support to top management within the department.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • An appropriate 3-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma/B-Degree) or higher.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in rendering executive support functions to top management.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties, including:

  • Managing engagements and ensuring management support staff compile programmes.
  • Rendering line administrative support services by developing and maintaining efficient systems in the Chief Director's Office.
  • Executing research, analysing information, and compiling complex documents for the Chief Director.
  • Providing support to the Chief Director regarding meetings, including screening documents to determine required actions or information.
  • Managing the resources of the Chief Director's office, including determining and collating budget needs.
  • Staying up-to-date with applicable prescripts, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient and effective support to the Chief Director.
