Minimum Requirements

• Educational Qualification: Appropriate qualification allowing registration with the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Specialist in Internal Medicine.
• Professional Registration: Current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Specialist in Internal Medicine.
• Experience (Grade 1): No experience required after registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Internal Medicine.
• Experience (Grade 2): A minimum of 5 years of appropriate experience as a Medical Specialist after registration with the HPCSA (or a recognised foreign Health Professional Council for foreign qualified employees) as a Medical Specialist in Internal Medicine.
• Experience (Grade 3): A minimum of 10 years of appropriate experience as a Medical Specialist after registration with the HPCSA (or a recognised foreign Health Professional Council for foreign qualified employees) as a Medical Specialist in Internal Medicine.
• Inherent Job Requirements:
• Performing commuted overtime and participating in the after-hours call system.
• A valid (Code B/EB) driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel.
