Opportunity Overview

The Western Cape Department of Economic Development and Tourism is inviting applications for the Director: Red Tape Reduction position. This is a management echelon role based within the Department of Economic Development and Tourism, Western Cape Government.

This important role is focused on identifying and addressing regulatory and legislative hurdles that may impede economic activity and development within the province. Successful candidates will contribute to creating a more streamlined environment for business and growth in the Western Cape.

Minimum Requirements

• An undergraduate legal qualification (NQF level 7) as recognised by SAQA.
• Minimum of 5 years’ middle and/or senior management experience.
• Strategic Capability and Leadership.
• Knowledge of government processes and procedures.
• Project and Programme Management.
• Change Management.
• People Management and Empowerment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of business development support measures.
• Financial Management.
