Opportunity Overview
The Water Research Commission (WRC) in Centurion is inviting applications for its 24-month Internship and Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme. This initiative aims to provide valuable workplace exposure and practical experience to unemployed South African university graduates and TVET learners.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to develop professional skills within a dynamic working environment.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following general criteria, in addition to the specific requirements for each role:
- Must be an unemployed South African citizen.
- Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old.
- Must not have previously participated in an internship programme.
Specific Academic Qualifications Required for Each Internship:
- Human Resource Management Intern (Reference: WRC/26-01): National Diploma/Degree in Human Resource Management, Labour Relations, Employee Relations, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
- Legal & Auxiliary Services Intern (Reference: WRC/26-02): National Diploma/Degree in Law, Records Management, Information Studies & Archives, Safety Management, Public Management/Administration, Management Assistant, or a related field.
- Legal & Auxiliary Services Intern (TVET) (Reference: WRC/27-02): N6 Certificate in a relevant field with an official letter from the TVET College confirming the requirement for Work Integrated Learning (WIL).
- Office Administration / Executive Support Intern (Reference: WRC/26-03): National Diploma/Degree in Management Assistant, Office Administration, Office Management, or a related field.
- Monitoring & Evaluation Intern (Reference: WRC/26-04): National Diploma/Degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Public Management, Public Administration, Management Assistant, or a related field.
- Information Technology Intern (Reference: WRC/26-05): National Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Risk Management Intern (Reference: WRC/26-06): National Diploma/Degree in Risk Management, Auditing, Fraud, Compliance, or a related field.
- Finance Intern (Reference: WRC/26-07): National Diploma/Degree in Finance, Public Finance, Financial Accounting, or a related field.
- Supply Chain Management Intern (Reference: WRC/26-08): National Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or a related field.
- Stakeholder Relations & Communications Intern (Reference: WRC/27-09): National Diploma/Degree in International Relations, Communication, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Stakeholder Relations & Communications Intern (TVET) (Reference: WRC/26-10): N6 Certificate in a relevant field with an official letter from the TVET College confirming the requirement for Work Integrated Learning (WIL).
