Opportunity Overview
Tshipi-noto Funeral Home is seeking a Creditors Clerk to join its Finance Department in Springs. This role is central to the effective management of the accounts payable function within the company.
The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, processing, and reconciling supplier invoices, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and facilitating timely supplier payments. The position also involves resolving account queries and discrepancies promptly.
Minimum Requirements
- A Finance or Accounting qualification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role, with exposure to:
- Managing and maintaining supplier relationships.
- Working with SAGE or similar ERP accounting systems.
- Loading and processing payments on banking platforms.
- Analysing cash flow requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively manage the accounts payable function.
- Receive, process, and reconcile supplier invoices.
- Ensure accurate record keeping and timely supplier payments.
- Resolve account queries and discrepancies.
- Process supplier payments accurately and within agreed payment terms.
- Review creditor age analyses to ensure no long-outstanding balances.
- Perform weekly and monthly supplier reconciliations.
- Allocate payments within the accounting system.
- Maintain and update payment schedules.
- Apply a basic understanding of VAT principles and requirements.
- Perform ad hoc finance and administrative duties as required.
