Toyota DESIG ARTISAN ENG ACCESSOR Vacancy 2026 | 6-Month Contract
Opportunity Overview
Toyota is offering a 6-month contract position for a DESIG ARTISAN ENG ACCESSOR. This role is based at their Prospecton facility in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, within the Product Evaluation department.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in the preparation, driving, servicing, disassembling, and rebuilding of durability vehicles, contributing to Toyota's vehicle testing and evaluation processes. Overtime and shift work will be a mandatory part of these positions.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Education & Experience:
- An N3 qualification with a petrol or diesel trade test, plus a minimum of 3 years of post-apprenticeship experience; OR
- An N2 qualification with a petrol or diesel trade test, plus a minimum of 5 years of post-apprenticeship experience.
- Driving Experience: Minimum of 5 years of driving experience from the date of obtaining a Code B driver's licence.
- Knowledge: Demonstrable knowledge of workshop safety practices.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Accurately following test procedures.
- Completing daily technical check sheets and communicating any vehicle problems to management.
- Providing verbal and written communication on test status.
- Working effectively within a diverse team environment.
- Preparing, servicing, assembling, and disassembling passenger and light commercial vehicles accurately and repeatedly.
- Performing solid and logical fault-finding and diagnostics on vehicles.
- Undertaking mandatory overtime and shift work as required.
