This permanent position for an Investigator: Vetting is based at the SASSA Head Office in Pretoria. The role focuses on implementing and monitoring security policies related to staff vetting within the agency. SASSA gives preference to African Male, Coloured Male/Female, Indian Male/Female, White Male/Female, or a Person with Disability for this position.
Minimum Requirements
- An undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6/7) recognised by SAQA in Security Management, Risk Management, Criminal Justice, Police Science, Public Administration, or an equivalent field.
- Appointment is subject to completing a relevant training course offered by the State Security Agency.
- A valid Code B driver’s license is essential.
- 3 years of relevant experience in the security management field.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor the policy for the management of security pertaining to Staff vetting.
- Implement and maintain proper administration of vetting applications and databases for both internal staff and service providers.

- Completion of The State Security Agency (SSA) Security Managers Course.

- 3 years of experience in Security Management / Criminal Justice / Police Science in the vetting / security management field.
- Of the 3 years' experience, 2 years must be at an Assistant Management level or equivalent.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the execution of vetting fieldwork investigations within the Agency.
- Develop, manage, and implement policies, guidelines, norms, and standards for vetting investigations across different security clearance levels.
- Coordinate and monitor projects and files.
- Manage the resources within the Unit.
