Minimum Requirements

To be eligible for this internship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • A recognised three-year Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma (NQF 6/7) in Human Resources Management, Human Resource Development, Industrial Psychology, Labour Relations, or a related qualification.
  • Must be a South African citizen.
  • Must be below the age of 35.
  • Computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities

As an HR Intern, you will be involved in a range of activities, including:

  • Providing administrative support to the Human Resources function.
  • Assisting with the day-to-day activities of the HR department.
  • Supporting recruitment and selection processes.
  • Assisting with onboarding and offboarding processes and ensuring relevant employee documentation is maintained.
  • Maintaining and updating employee records and HR information in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Assisting with leave administration and other employee-related records.
  • Supporting the preparation of HR reports, correspondence, presentations, and other HR-related documentation.
  • Assisting with the coordination and administration of employee wellness, training, and development initiatives.
  • Providing support with HR queries and general employee administration.
  • Assisting with the maintenance of confidential personnel files and ensuring records are properly maintained and audit-ready.
  • Assisting with HR projects, events, and initiatives as required.
  • Gaining practical exposure to HR policies, procedures, and applicable employment legislation.
  • Performing general administrative duties within the HR function as required.
  • Continuously developing professional knowledge and skills within the Human Resources field.
  • Assisting with ad hoc HR audits and related compliance activities.

You will be primarily based in an office environment, providing essential administrative and operational support across various HR functions.
