Minimum Requirements
- Minimum qualification: Grade 12 / Matric
- South African citizen with a valid ID
- Aged 18–35 (youth programme)
- Currently unemployed and not on another funded programme
- Clear criminal record
- Grade 12 (Mathematics/Physical Science advantageous)
- Medically fit for underground work (red-ticket)
Key Responsibilities
During this learnership you will:
- Completing underground safety and induction training
- Learning rock-breaking, support and cleaning operations
- Operating basic mining equipment under supervision
- Applying mine health-and-safety legislation (MHSA)
- Completing NQF 3 mining assessments and practical evaluations
Stipend & Benefits
Successful candidates receive a monthly stipend of R6 500 – R8 000 / month for the duration of the programme, on-the-job mentorship, and a nationally recognised NQF Level 3 qualification on successful completion.
