Opportunity Overview
The Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) is seeking an experienced ICT Steering Committee Member for a two-year term based in Centurion. This role offers an opportunity to provide high-level oversight and strategic guidance on all matters related to Information and Communication Technology within the Authority.
Successful candidates will contribute to shaping ICT governance, security, and strategy implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Remuneration for this position is guided by the tariff guidelines of the National Treasury, under sub-category A1.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this vital role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a Post-Graduate Degree in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) or Computer Science.
- Must have served on an ICT Steering Committee for a minimum of 5 years.
- Possess at least 5 years of working experience at a Senior Management level within an ICT environment, specifically responsible for:
- Enterprise and Architecture development.
- ICT Risk Management.
- Development and implementation of ICT strategies aligned to business strategies.
- Planning, development, and implementation of a Governance framework (CGICT framework).
- Demonstrate knowledge of the King IV Code as it pertains to ICT governance.
- Exhibit expertise in ICT investment, monitoring the management and mitigation of ICT risks, and cyber security.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to perform a range of strategic duties, including:
- Performing an oversight role on all ICT-related matters.
- Advising PSiRA Management and relevant ICT Committees on areas such as ICT Governance, ICT Security Management, Cyber Security, ICT Incident Management, ICT Performance Management, conformance to ICT Standards and Good Practices, and ICT Strategy implementation.
- Actively participating in the design of ICT Risk controls, compliance, and internal control quality assurance to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of ICT operations.
- Collaborating with the Audit and Risk Committee, ICT control owners, and ICT Management to proactively strengthen ICT controls and ensure compliance with all applicable policies and regulatory requirements.
