Opportunity Overview

The Passenger Rail Agency Of South Africa (PRASA) is inviting applications for the position of Manager: Leasing, based at their Head Office in Johannesburg. This role is open to both external and internal candidates.

The core mission of the Asset Management Department, where this role sits, is to ensure compliance, transparency, and policy alignment across all leasing processes. The Manager: Leasing will be responsible for overseeing lease governance, approvals, document control, and risk mitigation in line with internal frameworks, the PFMA, and other public-sector regulations.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Property Law, Public Administration, Legal Studies, Real Estate, or Property Management.
• Valid Code 8 driver’s license.
• A minimum of 8 years' experience in Leasing, Legal, or Property Governance.
• At least 3 years of the required experience must be at a Supervisory level.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Lease Governance and Approval Oversight.
• Develop policies and standardise procedures.
• Conduct Compliance Monitoring and offer Audit Support.
• Manage Contract Control and Records Management.
• Provide Training, Support, and Governance Advisory.
• Engage in Risk Management and ensure Regulatory Compliance.
• Coordinate across interdepartmental teams.
• Lead and manage team performance.
