Opportunity Overview

OUTsurance, through its Risk and Compliance department, is offering an Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Specialist Internship located in Centurion. This 12-month fixed-term program is specifically designed for unemployed graduates who are passionate about Occupational Health and Safety.

This structured work-based program provides successful applicants with an invaluable opportunity to gain practical workplace experience by supporting the existing OHS team with their daily activities. A stipend will be provided during the internship period.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this internship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Possess a Grade 12 / Matric certificate or equivalent.
Hold a Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety.
Be computer literate, with proficiency in MS Office.
No prior work experience is required.
Be a South African citizen.
Must not have previously participated in an Internship with INSETA.
Be between the ages of 18 and 35.
Have been unemployed for the last 2 months.
Demonstrate a passion for Occupational Health and Safety.
Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships.
Exhibit initiative and engage professionally.
Ability to methodically plan and organise tasks and projects.
Maintain a high level of attention to detail.
Adapt and respond positively to change.
Ability to multitask and handle stress effectively.
Uphold confidentiality.
Have knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its supporting regulations.
